Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. Pizza is awesome. Garlic bread is highly recommended. Found this place off yelp reviews. I can't say enough. They made an honest mistake on my pizza toppings, when I called in they immediately said another pizza was on its way. I woukd recommend Pizza Shak to any one stayting in MB.

I called after enjoying some late nightlife at Broadway at the Beach and was thrilled that they were open until 5am in March for Spring Break. Their website says the winter hours vary so I don't know when exactly they start staying open late, but I was glad that they were open for me. I was not expecting much at all. I mean, your pizza does not have to be fabulous when you are the only option for late-night delivery. I didn't know what to order because I had trouble finding a menu (probably due to excessive, er, nightlife-ing) and I didn't want to hold them up (they were obviously super busy) so I ordered a vegetarian pizza, safe bet, and then I asked if they had lasagna with no meat--no. The guy recommended the alfredo, and I went for it to avoid wasting anyone's time. The food was amazing. The Alfredo was absolutely fantastic. If you are a stickler for Italian food, be aware that this is not strictly Alfredo sauce. There is some kind of orange cheese mixed in--cheddar I assume--that adds extra cheesiness to this dish. It's served over penne, which is just another bonus for me. If you're looking for a creamy, cheesy, albeit completely unhealthy pasta dish, this is it. It's like a mac-and-cheese/alfredo hybrid. It's amazing. Enough said. As for the pizza, I consider myself a pretty tough pizza critic (family in the business), and the pizza was above average for the fast-food/delivery quality. The dough was delicious, although a little soft for my taste. I like a bit of a crunch. The pizza was generously topped and had a good sauce-cheese ratio. Overall good, above average in every way. The next day I ordered a custom pie: pineapple, mushroom, onion, and the result was the same above average product. If you call after 2am, you can expect to wait. You will likely be placed on hold, and then you might have to wait up to 45 minutes for delivery. This is a resort town, and this shop is the only late-night game around, so don't expect super fast delivery. That being said, they handle the rush extremely efficiently, and as I mentioned above, the guy taking my order even took the time to recommend something for me, which turned out to be my favorite thing. There is another review on here that says if you pay with a card they write down your numbers or something. this doesn't happen anymore. they run your card on a mobile device when they deliver the food. Service: 5 stars Hours: 5 stars Pizza: 4 stars Alfredo: 5 amazingly magical stars =5 stars! I recommend it!

Pizza Shak seems to have found their calling call as Myrtle's late night food delivery service, which is not a bad plan. However, being the only option for delivery past midnight is where their value ends. Their food, pricing, customer service and delivery times are sub-par. The delivery times are a hour plus during weekends and i suppose that has an affect on the food. It routinely takes a few calls to get a live person on the phone, and the drivers could be a tad more personable when they come to the door. Nothing stands out as awful and I'm sure if they continue to be the only option for delivery after midnight, that I will order again, just a few small changes could take them from meh to pretty good.

Ordered wings during an overnight trip to myrtle beach with my husband and son. Ended up with horrific food poisoning, had to go to urgent care. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. I'm still so grateful that I didn't give any to my son to eat.

Frustrated does not come close to describing my experience with these people. I had left my wallet in a friend's hotel room and couldn't access it. I know my credit card number by heart so I asked if that would be ok. They said, talk to the manager. So I speak to the manager who says, "Yeah just give them the credit card number when they get there." Ok, fast forward an hour, guy arrives at my hotel and says "I need your credit card." I say, nooo I spoke to the owner and he told me to just give you the number when you got here. After arguing with this kid I ask to get on the phone with the manager who I spoke to and he proceeds to tell me that isn't going to work. Yeah, the same one who told me that was ok an hour earlier. So let's recap... The delivery kid had pizza in his hand.... I had a credit card number... and he walked away from my hotel room after I waited an hour and CONFIRMED WITH THE MANAGER that this would be ok. So unprofessional, so frustrating, so NOT THE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. I'm sure there food is junk because anybody who runs a business like this clearly doesn't get it. By the way, the total of the order was like 25 bucks, who is going to memorize a credit card number to steal a couple of pizzas for $25?!?!?! These guys are a joke.

Apparently a lot of places are not open late in Mrytle Beach on weekdays. Pizza Shak was and I was really thankful. I was not expecting too much. I ordered the Club Sandwich, even though I REALLY wanted to order a pizza. My friends weren't that hungry. We order take out & went back to our hotel. It was love at first bite. The quality was AWESOME! It also came of pasta salad was tasty as well. If the sandwich was that good, I can only IMAGINE how phenomenal the pizza is from Pizza Shak.

As a part owner of a local business here in Myrtle Beach, I always try whenever possible to support other locally owned businesses. However, you don't need to adopt this mindset to give Pizza Shak your business, because the food is just AMAZING. You can tell that they put a lot of care and take a lot of pride in their food and it shows immensely. Right down to their very personable customer service. Called in a pick up order tonight and Roy made sure everything was double checked and special requests were met to our liking, and he was very pleasant to deal with and an all around likable guy. Did I mention that they deliver till 5am? Another bonus!

Called and ordered a Cheese pie and breadsticks. Roy answered the phone and was very friendly. He actually led me to the breadsticks as i originally ordered Garlic Knots which they dont have. Pizza arrived within 30 minutes by a friendly delivery guy. Pizza and breadsticks were hot and fresh. Everything tasted great and we enjoyed every bite. I would certainly order again.

We ended up eating Pizza quite a few times while at Myrtle Beach. Pizza Shak was our favorite. It isn't the best Pizza in the whole world, but its pretty good. It smokes Gem City and Gino's in taste and overall food quality. They delivered to our room fast both times.

At the hotel and it was raining so we decided to order pizza for dinner. This was our first time ordering pizza from PIzza Shak. Ordered shak pizza and BBQ chicken pizza (buy one gets second one 50% off). Total including tip and tax is $29. My parents love the Shak Special's pizza. I like the BBQ chicken more over the Shak Special Pizza . But both were good. Though I wish the pizza was thin crust, so the crust they have here is not for me but overall the pizza was delicious. The estimate time was accurate (45 mins). If you are in a hotel and it doesn't have napkin or plates like where I was staying, I recommend you ask if they can provide plates/napkins for you. We didn't ask so they didn't provide any for us. Would I order from here again? I would if i'm in the area with my parents, since they loveeee it here. But if i'm here without them, I would try other places. Would I recommend this place to my family and friends? YES. Their sauce and topping are actually very delicious. The only reason why I don't like it because of the crust. I like less "bread/powder".

Called from our hotel for delivery. Service was fast, friendly & efficient. Food showed up exactly as ordered and was fresh and delicious. We got a big Caesar salad, a BBQ chicken pizza and a plain cheese pie for the kids. Everything was great! If we lived in myrtle beach I'd definitely order again. Yum!

Here we are again in Myrtle Beach and wanted a pizza delivered to our room and gave Pizza Shak another call. Got a bacon cheeseburger pizza that was fantastic!-ground beef, crumbled bacon, red onions, and mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. The pizza arrive on time, the delivery driver and order taker were friendly. They also bring heavy duty wax coated paper plates, napkins and after dinner mints. From now on, I think Pizza Shak is our go to pizza joint to have a pizza delivered to our room while we are in Myrtle Beach. Setting here on the balcony, overlooking the ocean with the wife, eating a good pizza, drinking a cold beer. Life Is Good!!!!!

So psyched when I find yummy locally owned places here in Myrtle Beach (if you have taken a look at my other reviews that you know what I mean). This place has WONDERFUL pizza. Seriously.... I was able to try a couple of their specialty pizzas this evening and I can honestly say that they were all delish! My favorite was 5 cheese with Alfredo, but it was seriously a close race between the chicken, broccoli and cheese (not sure that's the real name... but I'm gonna go with it) and the Philly cheesesteak pizza. My fiancé said that the bbq chicken pizza was also amazing (but I was wayyyy to full to even try it). Safe to say that we have finally found our go to pizza place! Thanks Pizza Shak!! Definitely going to tell everyone that I know about this place!

Worst customer service I've ever experienced!!! Tried to order a pizza they said 45 minutes, 45 mins go by and no pizza. I call to check on the pizza and they tell me it isn't coming since they tried to call my phone and no one answered. I never had a missed call, he then got very hostile with me. I explained that I am a loyal customer and a local and don't deserve that kind of treatment. He then threaten to come find me and kick my ass, I told him I would be calling the local PD. I called the PD and filed a complaint against them. Never have I been so disrespected for no reason. I will never be ordering from pizza shak again nor will they be getting any business from anyone I know or from the multiple business I deal with.bNew York style pizza my butt!! Horrible food and very very rude customer service!! If you want real ny style pizza or just great pizza, and great customer service call up Gino's!! 3521 belle terre blvd myrtle beach sc 29579 there number is 843 236 8885 I won't go to anyone else but them, especially after having such a horrible experience at pizza shak!!!
